4 Nights and 5 Days in Bhutan

Tour Itinerary:

 

DAY ONE: DAC/PBH-THIMPHU
Arrive Paro International Airport and you will be welcomed by Guide and driver of Dream Adventure Travel. And then transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Check in hotel dinner and overnight halt. O/N THIMPHU.

DAY TWO: THIMPHU – PUNAKHA SIGHTSEEING
B/fast in hotel and then drive to Punakha (the old capital of Bhutan till 1955), via Dochula pass at 3150m. In Punakha visit Punakha dzong (majestically located at the junction of the two rivers). Lunch in town and after lunch, hike to Chime Lhakhang (the monastery of fertility).

After the hike drive back to Thimphu. Evening leisure in town. O/N THIMPHU.

DAY THREE: THIMPHU –PARO SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast in hotel and then sightseeing of Thimphu includes: – visit to Kuenselphodrang (commonly known as Buddha point, and is also the view point of Thimphu city).

Memorial Chorten (the memorial stupa built in 1974, in memory of the late 3rd king. Takin preserve center (where one can see the national animal of Bhutan). And then drive to Paro and break for Lunch. After lunch visit Paro dzong (the administrative and monastic body of Paro district), National Museum (once the watch tower of Paro dzong in the ancient days).O/N PARO.

DAY FOUR: PARO TAKTSHANG HIKE

Breakfast in hotel and then drive till the hiking point to Taktsang Monastery (the monastery perched on the side of a cliff), round trip hike to Taktsang monastery is about 3-4 hours from the car point. Lunch in cafeteria at the view point of the monastery. After lunch visit Kichu lhakhang (one of the oldest temple in Bhutan) and evening free time in town. O/N PARO.

DAY FIVE: DEPARTURE
Breakfast in hotel and then drive to the airport for the flight to the next destination.
